As a Senior UI/UX Designer at Saggezza, you'll bring your strong visual and technical design skills to design UI tools and experiences to our client projects on the desktop, mobile, and other innovative platforms. Our growing UX team crafts engaging user experiences across a spectrum of internal and public tools, in partnership with our client business stakeholders and IT. You are passionate about design thinking, human-centered design, usability, accessibility, mobile-first, responsive design, and other emerging technologies. 

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Artistic savvy and an acute eye for detail
  • Expert level knowledge and firsthand experience with Sketch, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or InDesign
  • Web and mobile UI standards expertise
  • Ability to explain and translate your work to those under you as well as in different departments
  • Expert level knowledge and firsthand experience in desktop, mobile and responsive web design
  • Present a diverse portfolio of engaging experiences
  • Deliver value to the business through well-crafted and timely work
  • Work independently as well as collaborate with a cross-functional team
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders
  • Passionately learn and share best practices with your teammates.
  • Welcome design critique and consistently iterate based on feedback

  • Experience with user experience, HCI, or interaction design
  • Knowledge and experience delivering design within agile teams
  • Moderate to expert level knowledge and firsthand experience with HTML and CSS
  • Moderate to expert level knowledge and firsthand experience with Bootstrap, Javascript/Query

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Use prototyping tools such as Sketch, Invision, Axure, Adobe CC
  • Ability Deliver personas, sitemaps, taxonomies, wireframes, storyboards, paper prototypes, user flow diagrams, and functional prototypes
  • Engage in heuristic evaluation, analogous research, competitive analysis, and definition of information architecture
  • Active involvement in the Design community demonstrated by regular engagement in continuing education, committee work or meet-ups. (AIGA, Creative Mornings or similar)
  • Formal education in interaction design (HCI, Cognitive Science, UX, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, or a related degree from an accredited institution)
  • 3-5 years of user experience, HCI, or interaction design experience across a variety of industries and challenges. Digital and physical preferred print is respected
  • Demonstrate strong empathy for the user and appreciation for business drivers
