Technical Project Manager, Sunderland

Salary £40,000 - £50,000 PA (depending on skills & experience) + bonus & benefits

The Role

Saggezza is seeking a qualified and passionate individual to join us as a Technical Project Manager.  With full accountability for project delivery a suitable Project Manager would be a strong self-starter with a naturally collaborative approach and an insatiable desire to guide application delivery teams to deliver high quality results, in addition to performing hands-on UI development.

The ideal candidate may be a proven project manager already, or alternatively a rising star with a strong business analysis or technical background, looking to make the move to a leadership position.

The role will be based in Sunderland. A willingness to travel to client sites as needed within the UK is essential.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Accountable and responsible for the project plan definition and successful management of technology delivery projects; project overall timeline/cost for a project based on provided effort estimates, available budget and resources
  • Ensure that project scope is defined, contained and delivered as agreed
  • Create and execute a communication plan that ensures effective and efficient collaboration amongst project team members and project stakeholders and sponsors
  • Act as the central point of coordination and management of analysis/requirement, design, development, testing and support resources as solutions are deployed
  • Resolve issues and manage client expectations throughout aggressive delivery schedules
  • Establish trusting client and working relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers
  • Demonstrate understanding of systems analysis and the ability to utilize technical skills/experience to improve business processes, system feature/functions, usability and performance
  • Lead the team in following industry best practices for Agile development in a team environment; assume Scrum Master role as necessary
  • Sound judgment, decision-making skills, and ability to work under continual deadline pressure
  • Research and keep current on IT trends, technologies and system solutions
  • Participate in internal projects that help scale the company and improve our methodologies and the quality of service offerings.

Essential Education & Experience:

  • Related experience in systems implementation, project management, process analysis and application delivery
  • Managed a minimum of 3 full project lifecycles
  • Prior Software and/or Application Development
  • Six Sigma Qualified
  • Prince2 or PMP qualified
  • ITIL Qualified desirable
